Art Spectrum® Lilac is a colour of nature. Lilac tones are everywhere in the environment, in the foliage, shadows, sky and clouds.
Lilac oil colour is the perfect mixer to catch those hues. Use Lilac instead of grey to create more vibrant mixes, with both cool and warm colours. Art Spectrum® Lilac is a favourite amongst floral painters.
Art Spectrum® Lilac was developed in consultation with Australian artist Albert Tucker.
Albert Tucker requested a mid-tone colour that he could mix from light to dark.
Albert was looking for a looking for a versatile, neutral mid-tone color that he can consistently rely on without the need for mixing each time.
David Keys Senior, the founder of Art Spectrum® worked with Albert’s request, and the result of this collaborative effort is Lilac that is now an integral part of todays’ Art Spectrum® oil colour range.
