Art Spectrum® Cobalt Blue gouache is a rich pigment, very popular among painters and fashion designers alike! It was discovered in 1802 by the French chemist, Louis Jacques Thénard.
However, we find earlier forms used for centuries in Chinese ceramics and European painting throughout the Middle Ages during which time it was made from coloured glass.
