Art Spectrum® Calcite is a fine dense white Chalk (Calcium Carbonate) used as a filler for water-based paints to increase opacity and to extend oil colours. Calcite has a lower oil absorbency rate than Whiting. It will provide extra tooth when used in the making of traditional grounds for oil painting.
*Note — This product is sold by weight, not by volume. Raw materials will settle at different rates in the package.
