Art Spectrum® Dry Ground Pigment Italian Cassel Earth.
Italian Cassel Earth was originally sourced from peat or Lignite deposits.
Due to its poor resistance to light being a fugitive pigment, it was replaced in the 19th century by lightfast calcined oxide based pigments.
